Library and Museum
The Mildred and Claude Pepper Library is the official repository of the Mildred and Claude Pepper Collection, a compilation of over 1.4 million documents, 5,000 photographs, 4,500 books (non-circulating), 2,000 audio and video recordings, and 1,800 artifacts and items of memorabilia. It is a unique historical resource consisting of 20th century materials that is open to all researchers.
The library also houses a collection of papers, photographs, memorabilia and audio and video recordings of Florida Governor Reubin Askew. For eight years (1971-1979), Reubin Askew served as the thirty-seventh Governor of Florida. He was also the U.S. Trade Representative for three years (1979-1981). In 1984 he bid for President, and in 1988 he campaigned to become a Senator. For additional information or to schedule a research consultation, go to the Claude Pepper Library Website.
